Voces del Campo/ Rural Voices
Voces Del Campo/Rural Voices is an oral history project dedicated to documenting the stories and experiences of Latinx populations in communities across rural western Wisconsin. Below is a collection of oral histories within this project, specifically intended to highlight the human experiences and shifts in everyday life felt among Latinx farmworkers and their families during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Interviews were conducted by Spanish and Latin American Studies students at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, during rural health clinics held in fall and spring 2021. Each includes an audio file in Spanish, alongside transcriptions in both Spanish and English. Please watch this page as we continue to process and publish oral histories to this collection. If you would like to be interviewed for this project, contact us at ChippewaValleyC19@gmail.com.
